It was the capital of the county between the IX th and XII th century. Due to the fact that many Jewish people went to live in Besal\u00fa, between the IX th and XV th century, it established an important Jewish community. A collection of monuments, situated in a small area shows its old splendour: The romanesque bridge (XI th century); romanesque churches of Sant Pere (X th century), Sant Vicens (IX th century), Santa Maria (XII th century), Sant Juli\u00e0 (XII th century); jewish baths (Mikw\u00e8), the only one in Spain (from the XII th to the XIII th century); medieval wall remains; Can Llaudes (civil romanesque); Tallaferro\u2019 house (gothic style); the Main Square\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
